A BIG MILESTONE TODAY

TODAY - EATING FROM A PAN FOR THE FIRST TIME....and in typical Dalmatian fashion, no one had to show them what to do!  I think it is soooo amazing that puppies who, up til this time, have been eating with their heads raised and nursing from a nipple ... now know what to do with their heads down and lapping instead of sucking!  Mother Nature is sooooo wonderful!!!!
First video is the very first puppies being introduced to the gruel (a mixture of evap. milk, egg yolk, yogurt, water and baby rice cereal).  We took all the puppies out of the box and put down their "table cloth" (towel) so that they do not get their sheepskin so messy and put one puppy at a time to the dish.  Second and third videos show more of the puppies being shown the dish and eventually all are together.  FAT TUMMIES ON ALL !!!!
(you can hear Jazz in the background since she is crated in another room - to keep her from eating the puppy food before they do)

 

On Wednesday, the puppies will get their weekly weigh-in and mani-pedi....AND A NEW PUPPY PEN WILL BE SET UP... to give them more room so they can walk around more and get stronger.  Watch for update on Wed. afternoon.
